Golf4Life a warm and wonderful event
The warmth of the day was exceeded only by the wonderful feeling as supporters made the 16th annual Golf4Life tournament in support of the Mark Preece House an overwhelming success.
The event held again at the beautiful Carlisle Golf & Country Club on June 11 netted more than $76,000 in support of operations of the Mark Preece House.
Contributions from sponsors, golfers and donors help us to provide temporary, affordable, accessible accommodation in a supportive environment for families residing outside of the Greater Hamilton area, and whose loved one is being treated for a life-threatening illness in a Hamilton area hospital. Thanks to our honorary chair Walter Gretzky and our master of ceremonies Wally Zatylny for their unique contributions.
Because the House is funded only by room rentals, fundraising and donations, this golf tournament is one of our major fundraising events in the year.
