Holiday Campaign 2026

Wherever we call home, we share the same sky.
Every year, families from across Ontario come to Hamilton when someone they love needs critical care. This season, communities near and far are coming together to keep them close.
Look up from Niagara Falls or Waterloo, from Thunder Bay or Ottawa. It’s the same sky.
When someone you love is rushed to Hamilton for critical care,
home can suddenly feel very far away.
That’s when community matters most.
Explore our communities
Each star is a community giving to Under One Sky. The brighter the star, the more it has raised, and every line leads home to The Mark Preece Family House.

Community by community
Every gift adds light to a community’s star, and every star makes the whole sky brighter. Cheer on your hometown, then cheer on everyone else.
Still waiting for their first light
Give a little light for your communityEach gift counts toward the city in the donor’s address. The campaign total also includes gifts from other places, businesses and events.
Tribute stars
Give a little light in honour of someone you love or in memory of someone you miss, and their name becomes a star in the House constellation. A thoughtful teacher’s gift, a gift in lieu of presents, or a way to remember.
Why your support matters
Hamilton General Hospital is a regional centre for critical care, trauma services, the burn unit, cardiac surgery and neurosciences. When a medical crisis brings a family here, home may be hours away.
The House is just steps from Hamilton General and welcomes families whose loved ones are receiving care at hospitals throughout Hamilton, including St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, Juravinski Hospital, McMaster Children’s Hospital, St. Peter’s Hospital and all local hospices.
A safe, comfortable and affordable place to rest, share a meal and be together, so families can focus on what matters most: being close to the person they love.
As a registered charity, the House receives no government funding. Every stay is made possible by donors, volunteers and community partners.
Your support in 2025
Since 2022, families from at least 250 communities have stayed at the House. In 2025, this is where they came from:

Every name here is a light someone added to the sky this season. Donors choose whether they’re thanked by name.
Somewhere under the same sky, a family is keeping watch beside someone they love. Thank you for helping them stay close.
