Families with a loved one in care
The Mark Preece Family House provides a comfortable, affordable home away from home for families from across Ontario who travel to Hamilton for a loved one’s medical care. When a family member is critically ill or injured, we give families a place to stay, rest and be together, so they can focus on what matters most: being close to their loved one.
Families we served in 2025 came from communities across Ontario. Our largest catchments were Niagara (22%), Kitchener-Waterloo (14%), Wellington (8%), Norfolk (5%) and Brant (4%).
