Home away from home for tough times. Jeanette has found a new home at the Mark Preece Family House. Read her story here.
Moms staying at the Mark Preece Family House shared a delicious meal prepared by House Manager Tara Aronson, Larry Pattison and friends.
Aronson said several mothers staying there have children in very serious condition. She hoped providing a meal would take a little bit of weight off their shoulders. “We thought that for moms whose family members are in the hospital, they should get a meal today.”

Cheers for Beers! A stunning Fall for Beer event
A spectacular autumn evening provided the perfect backdrop to delicious food and refreshing beer at the second annual Fall for Beer event in support of the Mark Preece Family House at the Ancaster Old Town Hall on October 23. We netted more than $8,500 from the event!
We were delighted to enjoy delicious beer that was generously provided by our friends at Nickel Brook, Beau’s Best and Wellington breweries. The refreshments were complemented by delectable fare provided by Chef Michael Gris. Music was graciously provided by a trio from the Hamilton All Star Jazz Band.
It was an event that celebrated the best of the season. Watch for Fall for Beer again next year!
Mother Nature cooperated by delivering sun and warm breezes instead of thunderstorms for our 18th annual Golf4Life tournament in support of the Mark Preece Family House on June 3.
Participants enjoyed the beautiful new venue at Dundas Valley Golf & Curling Club and we netted more than $76,000 which will go toward funding operations of this wonderful house.
We welcomed back Walter Gretzky as our honorary chair and we were delighted once again to accept a very generous donation from the Silly Boys’ Mark Fuller. Glenn Gibson, President of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, joined us as emcee and it was great to have the Ti-Cats involved.
Thanks to our Golf4Life committee: David Carruth, Jane Craik, Elaine Jongsma, Michael Veri, Donna Waxman, Joyce Wilton and Pearl Wolfe.
Thanks to all who participated and we look forward to seeing you next year!
